Alright, picking up the pace a bit here or else I'm not going to catch up. We are under contract on an incredible home! Justin and I have been looking at homes ever since we moved down to the Springs, usually just one or two at a time as ones that interested us came up. We made offers on several homes and were outbid, one time being "outbid" by an offer that said the buyers would pay $10,000 over the next highest offer (which was ours). Things finally went our way though, and a home that we liked online turned out to be one we loved in person, and then things just fell into place. We are closing on the home tomorrow (August 8th), but we don't move in until later this month. Part of the contract was that the sellers be able to rent the home back from us for a few weeks, so we don't get to move in right away. We felt it was a small sacrifice that would pay off in the long run by enabling us to get into an incredible home that will be perfect for our family.
The Monday after we saw the alpacas, we had our home inspected. Justin and I got to be present at the inspection and got to talk to the inspector about questions we had as he was going through the house. He found a few minor issues with the house but nothing major. We got the inspection resolution taken care of that week, so that was a huge step in our home buying process.
That week the kids and I went to visit friends up in Denver. We hung out with the Millers at the pool and then the Hamers at Peter Pan park and Dairy Queen. After we played with them, we went to my old work and said hi to some coworkers. There were some folks I didn't get to say goodbye to before we moved, so I got a chance to visit with them and say goodbye to some of the residents as well.

The following Monday and Tuesday, we got to spend some time in Breckenridge together. Justin had to teach a training for a member up there, and the member happened to be a resort, so we got to stay a night at the resort. We had a fun time exploring the town and swimming the night before Justin's training.
The resort set us up with an amazing suite with a kitchen, dining and living area, a bedroom and bathroom, and an additional attached suite with a kitchenette, bedroom, bathroom, and pull-out sofa. It was way more than our family needed but it was luxurious to have such ample accomodations.
The next morning, while he was teaching, the kids and I swam and then rode the gondola. The gondola is free during the summer, so we rode it from the resort down to the town and back up to the top and back to the resort. It was so much fun that we had to do it again with Justin when he was finished with training.
The scenery was gorgeous and we loved the quaintness and fun of the town. We had a great family trip together.
